I won 4200 at a casino from only 100 in about a 10 hour period. I then went back the next day thought i was the man and lost 1000 of it. I am so upset right now I feel like going back and playing 1 hand of black jack for 3200. Or should i just spend the money on items i would like such as a new computer and a gold chain and bracelet. Saving the money i won is not an option for me should i place one big hand of black jack or spend it before i lost it all?
Answer:Common mistake! Greed, Lack of discipline, Lack of knowledge and fatigue. These things will always destroy you so, my suggestion is; take $3200 and lock it away in term deposit. This will give you time to do other things in life and if this is not an option, donate some to charity and spend the rest on family, friends and yourself. If you donate, you can get some tax benefit but, I guarantee you that if you go back, you will lose it sooner or later. There is a slight chance you might win more but, eventually, you will give it all back to casino in matter of time. Choose wisely.
Answer:do you know what the odds are of turning 100 into 4200
it might happen once a year if you go to a casino every day in a year
DONT go back - gambling gods - FICKLE BUNCH - they can cripple you just as fast as they reward you
I dont know your financial situation but if you have a spare 3200 TREAT yourself and buy yourself something nice if you go back and try to bet big the odds you lose is a coin flip on one hand - why risk a great run on 100 just because your too PROUD to walk away with out getting the last word and proving just how smart you are.
You have a gift 3200 - if you lose you are just another jerk (sorry) with a story - but its a sad story - if you can say you won 3100 on 100 bucks and bought yourself something nice or something you really need - the story has a much happier ending!!!
Good Luck:)
Answer:it's story time again, well, two stories.
i would watch customers come in and play the slots. regulars, but not too often, like once a month or once every second month. then they would win a jackpot! you know, $10000 or so. guess what happened next? they were in the casino every day.
i would watch someone come into the casino for the first time. often, newlyweds. they would sit down at the table, buy in for $50 to $100, and loose within an hour or less! i would say to them "it's the best thing that could have happened to them."
what's my point? don't go chasing your losses. have fun. if you win you will always have fun. if you lose, it should still be fun. if you lose and you didn't have fun, it's time to quit. period.
Answer:Well you are not going to beat the odds consistantly. If I were in your shoes I would take $3,000. and use it for anything you need or want or stash it away. Heck even buying some under priced blue chip stock for your future would be better than taking it back to the casino.
With the last $200. that would give you 2 more trips to the casino in future to play with just to have some fun like you did the first time. If you lose them it's no big deal as the $3,000. is safe. Any time you win big you sock the biggest portion away. Otherwise in the end you always lose.
Answer:I know that feeling. Please. Trust me when I say. DONT GO BACK.
Answer:If this was the first time at a casino, then I feel very bad for you. Even if you DON'T go back, you could very well be doomed.
This will haunt you for quite a while. If you don't go back now, (which you SHOULDN'T!), you will still WANT to go back for quite a while.
In about a year from now you will curse the day you ever won that $4,200 in the first place! Why? Because you will have gone back and given it back over and over again until you've given back well over $10,000 of your own money. Perhaps you'll have racked up thousands of dollars in credit card debt, too. Each time you go, you'll be looking for that 'thrill' of winning it big. Sometimes you WILL win big, but you'll always end up giving it back within a week or 2. You will hate yourself all the time.
Have I painted a picture clearly enough? Do you think this is a possibility for your life? PLEASE, PLEASE, please don't fool yourself into thinking, "that could never be me". It CAN be and it WILL be if you can't shake this NOW!
What if you had gone into the casino and turned $100 into $3,200? That is basically just as hard as what you did in the first place! You should be incredibly happy that you have that money right now. You shouldn't even feel like you have to spend it all right now. Don't just go out and buy a new computer unless you actually NEED a new computer. Take perhaps $500 and splurge on a few nice things. Put the rest of it into the bank or a CD for 6 months just to get it out of your head.
It would be great if in 1 year from now you could look back on this as "that lucky day I had last year", rather than "the first day of my new, horrible, nightmare of a life".
BEEN THERE. DONE THAT. It cost me 10 years of my life before I finally put back the pieces. Please don't think it can't happen to you.
